Baby Menya Coming Soon!

Had a dr. appt this morning and it sounds like this baby is coming earlier then expected. I am dilated 4cm! The baby is also growing like crazy. So if it does not come naturally by Jan. 4, they will be inducing me. We of course are praying for it to come naturally. Stephen is on break right now from school, so all is a little more relaxing in our world. We will be parents in less then 2 weeks! Yeah!!!

Another FABULOUS Baby Shower!

My good friend Erin threw me a baby shower on Saturday, Dec. 5 at her home. It was a blast to hang out with ladies from college and work. Baby Menya got more wonderful gifts. Thank you to everyone!

African Baby Shower!

My fabulous sister-in-laws, Akinyi and Bella, threw me an African style baby shower a few weeks ago. It was a blast! Men, women and kids were all present! We feasted on yummy Kenyan food, socialized and relaxed. Stephen and I thank all who came. We really are blessed to have such great people in our lives. Enjoy the pictures!

Say a Prayer!

Went in to the doctor yesterday with cramping. Supposedly those are contractions... I am supposed to be on bed rest for the weekend and then have to go back to the doctor on Monday. Please say a prayer that this baby calms down. : ) I am only 27 weeks! Hopefully I will get some updated pictures up here this week, so you can see the growing baby bump.

School is going well for Stephen, so thank you for your prayers. He has quickly learned how to schedule his day, so he can still be my SUPERMAN. Before you know it, he will be in his 2nd trimester of school Woohoo!

Our gym continues to grow. What a blessing! It feels so good that the gym can now almost run itself while Stephen is at school and I am at work. We could not do it without the awesome helpful friends we have in our lives, so thank you!

Watch Out New York!

We had the chance to go visit Donald, Sarah and Okinyo in New York and boy was it FUN! Leah had never been to NY so we did all the tourist stuff - Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Statue of Liberty, Soho, China Town, etc. We were even on the Late Night Show with David Letterman! Even though we had the worst seats in the house, it was still an experience! Stephen claims that for sure no one saw him on the show since we were in the way, way back sitting in the pitch black. LOL! It was a fabulous time though and a nice break before Stephen returns to chiropractic school on Sept. 9. Please pray for us, pray for Stephen that God gives him wisdom and guidance to get to the finish line. Amen!

Halfway There!

Today we had our 20 week doctor's appointment. The baby looks fantastic! It was quite the exciting appointment. They checked out all the organs and even took some really nice closeup shots of his/her face. During the ultrasound, the baby yawned and everyone in the room went "Awwww!" It was fun! Stephen thought he was Dr. Menya while trying to figure out the sex of the baby, but he/she is still a surprise. Next appointment in 4 weeks. Getting closer!

The Beginning of Baby Menya!

We received the news that we are going to have a new addition to our family on Friday, June 5! WOW! It really came as a surprise, but we know this little bundle of joy will be loved dearly. Trust me, he/she already is! I guess I should say "he" since Stephen insists that it is going to be a BOY.

We hope to keep you updated with pictures and stories on this blog. Now this is all new to us, so bare with us. If you do not see an update for a week or two, just keep checking. : )
